Is Mark Cuban Bored?
August 31, 2007

Dancing With The Stars? I can’t believe a guy like Mark Cuban is doing this gig. I’ve always flipped past the show just to see which old NFLers or past 90210 stars are on it…just for a quick laugh. But Mark Cuban. Isn’t this guy a busy billionaire? Does he really have nothing better to do with his time rather than learn how to dance? The only other reason for this would be his need for some publicity. Maybe he’s tired of running his mouth or running on the court and getting all those massive fines. This might be his attempt to pay them off. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of outfit they put this guy in.
Yi To Try and Find Love in Milwaukee
August 30, 2007

It’s been confirmed by many sources that everyone’s main Chinese man Yi Jianlian has signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. How damn long did this take? Since he held out, there’s now an extra high expectation for him in training camp to come out and be a phenomenal player. I never saw this coming to such a peaceful conclusion. I thought there was going to be government demands in China, etc etc. And what happened to Yi needing some love? I’m sure Milwaukee’s Asian population has not changed since Yi said he wanted to play in a larger market. Or has it? Maybe the Bucks shipped in some fresh eye candy for his pleasure. I remember reading that when the Superbowl came to Detroit last year that there was a mass influx of prostitutes to both Detroit and Windsor, Ontario (across the boarder). It was something in the thousands. Could it be possible that the Bucks told Yi’s camp that they have flown in some potential? Probably not, but hey, it’s fun to think about it.
Prediction: Orlando Magic will NOT Make it Past the First Round
August 25, 2007

The Magic just acquired Adonal Foyle, which makes the Magic’s frontcourt one of the most powerful in the league. Although Foyle had a weak season in ‘06-’07, he is still capable of being a solid frontcourt partner of Dwight Howard and Rashard Lewis. This was a terrific addition for the boys in blue, but is in enough? I know I ask this question quite a bit, but when you look at the rest of the east, you have to ask yourself if you think that this powerful frontcourt is really enough to get the Magic deep into the playoffs. The answer is no! I don’t even believe these guys will make it past the first round. I solely place the blame for my prediction on the Magic’s lack of backcourt. That’s where it all starts. Jameer Nelson and Hedo Turkoglu are as weak of a backcourt as the league has seen in recent years. Nelson has yet to prove he is a good point guard in the league, and Turkoglu’s inconsistency will only become more significant as he gets less shots with Rashard Lewis in town. With Carlos Arroyo and J.J. Redick coming off the bench, there’s just not much depth for the coach to dip into! If these guys make it past the first round of the playoffs, I give everyone that has just read this to rub it in my face, but I have a feeling I won’t be getting any comments come that time of the season.

Mrs. Peja Stojakovic! Yes, non other than Aleka Kamila. This beauty was a greek model ( and possibly still might be?). She must really dig a guy that can hit a jump shot, because Peja is really no prize. Hopefully Peja gives her something to cheer about this season. Overall, we need to send our congrads to Aleka as she joins past winners. Check them out!
LeBron High School Highlights!
August 19, 2007
In honour of the Kobe vs. LeBron debate recently posted here, I felt it was right to put up a great LeBron video for everyone’s viewing pleasures. Since I recently put up a Kobe video here, it is Lebron Bron’s turn. Out of all the videos I was browsing through, this one is completely of Bron in high school. It’s a little long, but the entire thing is ridiculous. Here we go…..
Iverson likes Lasagna, Drawing and Samuel L. Jackson
August 19, 2007

After reading a little profile on Allen Iverson, I’ve discovered a few things that us fans obviously find interesting:
-He enjoys drawing in his free time, as well as reading Sports Illustrated
-His favourite food is lasagna
-His favourite actor is Samuel L. Jackson
-Enjoys traveling to New York
-Lists Philadelphia as his favourite NBA city (I’m sure this is one is a little out of date).
Is Jarvis Hayes Enough for the Pistons?
August 18, 2007

The Detroit Pistons have signed backup guard/forward Jarvis Hayes. With the intention of having him as a backup to Tayshaun Prince, Hayes has a career average of about nine points per game, according to his website (www.jarvishayes.net). Will JH’s nine points per game be enough to provide a confident Flip Saunders with reason to have some serious confidence in his bench? Well, if you look at who was backing up Prince before, Carlos Delfino average 3.6 points per game last season, which was his best yet. The worst part about Delfino was he was incredibly inconsistent. Getting rid of him was a wise move on Joe Dumar’s end. I feel with Hayes, the Pistons will finally have some consistent backup on the bench. Combining Hayes and some of the talented rookies, and of course McDyess, the Pistons are in good shape for another title run.
LeBron or Kobe?
August 17, 2007

(ESPN)
When the time comes for Team USA to take on the best of the rest of the world, which US superstar is going to be the leader. Clearly, the two names at the top of the list are LeBron James and Kobe Bryant. Both bring their assets to the table. If you ask me, I’d want the ball in Kobe’s hands. Why you might ask? As good as LeBron is, and he’s damn good, he’s not on Kobe’s level, yet. Kobe is a proven leader. He has championship rings. He’s consistent, and he’s incredible to watch. As shown in this year’s past playoffs, LeBron is getting good really quickly, but he’s not on Kobe’s level yet. He still has a year or two until he hits that status. In these international competitions, you never know when another team might give the US a good run. If that happens, I could see coach K giving Kobe the ball. What’s the worst that can happen? Kobe gets double teamed and he passes to LeBron? That’s fine by me.

As not too much is going on in the league, there’s not a whole lot to report on. Here’s a little taste of what everyone’s saying:
Tim Donaghy. Honestly, I’m sick of hearing about the guy. We all knew he was guilty. Check out The Feed’s article about Donaghy:
The Next Stage Of Donaghy-Induced Pain
Gilbert Arenas has posted another article on his blog. To me, he is hands down the best blogger out there. Still keeping it real. Check out End of the Bench’s article:
Did Gilbert Arenas Pay for the Whole Wedding?
Rumours are still circulating that Mike Bibby might be traded to Miami. I don’t think it’s worth it for Sac, as they won’t be gaining much. Check out the Basketball Blog’s article:
Will the Kings and Heat make a Mike Bibby trade?
Little Mark Cuban apparently got in a fight 15 years ago. It’s pretty funny article when you picture Cuban in the situation. Check it out at his blog, Blog Maverick:
Brandan Wright of the Warriors has his own blog. I love hearing about new players trying to keep up Agent Zero. Check out Golden State of Mind’s article:
